Fresh Sage Butter

Sage Butter adds sophisticated flavor to many dishes from breads to vegetables.

Serve this fragrant butter with Faux Corn Muffins. Delish!

Fresh Sage Butter

Makes about 1/2 cup (equivalent of 1 stick)


1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

1/4 cup finely chopped fresh Sage or mixed herbs (such as basil, thyme, sage, parsley, dill, chives, tarragon, oregano, marjoram or rosemary)

1 teaspoon coarse sea salt


In a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well until sage (or herbs) are distributed evenly. Place onto a piece of waxed paper or parchment, shape into a cylinder or disk, and seal ends by twisting, or pack into a ramekin (however you prefer to store and serve it) and cover with plastic. Chill in refrigerator until firm, at least an hour.


 

No-Corn Stove Top Cornbread Stuffing | Low Carb |Keto

This No-Corn Stove Top Cornbread Stuffing is low carb and keto friendly.

It is made just like traditional stuffing but with a no-corn cornbread.

I make this with my Faux Corn Muffins. Make the muffins ahead, cut into cubes and store, and then on Thanksgiving Day It's made on the stove top so it is quick to make.

Keep it warm in the skillet, on your stove top, until ready to serve.

No-Corn Stove Top Bread Stuffing | Low Carb | Keto


1 recipe Faux Corn Bread Muffins, baked, cooled, and cubed

3 tablespoon butter, divided

1/2 cup diced celery

1/3 cup chopped onion

3 to 4 T chicken broth

1 cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons fresh parsley

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper


In a skillet melt 1 T butter and saute onion and celery. Cook until onion is translucent. Add fresh parsley, stir until combined. Add 2 T of butter to your skillet, let butter melt. Add the cubed faux corn bread, stir until the butter coats the corn bread and vegetables are mixed in. Add 3 to 4 T of chicken broth just to moisten the stuffing. Adjust the amount of chicken broth to your liking. You need just enough to moisten the stuffing.

 

Coleslaw, Just Like Mom's | Low Carb

I love coleslaw!! It's a great holiday side dish for Thanksgiving.

Made with simple fresh ingredients. It's a must side dish for our Thanksgiving feast.
